about Feelings

Spin me around
Turn upside down
Jump like a heartbeat
Weep for as long as a piece of string
Hold on
Never let go

Go round the bend
Whirl
Twirl
Shudder
Stop
Deep breath

Shout indoors, no attention
Questions asked, no answers
Lost in the long unwinding road
Travelling in the jungle of people
Thoughts are incomplete,
Distant from the one good thing
Shattered
Broken
Pulled
Disappearing
Fading away
A hopeless wonder to never return

Desperate, now charging
Battery gone
Ripped
As easy as paper
Blind
As a bat
Stained glass is only pretty
Pain directed at the mind
The head is an easy target
Destruction is with out a doubt

Rollercoaster begins again

I wrote this in 2006. I guess this is how I have felt over the last couple of days, not much more to say really...

Posibilities

Once upon a time

I walked down the street

across the road

to a place I used to know

now my days are moving

towards the more unkown

exploring possibilities

to be alive and free

Each day I grow

and am happily past

my school day fairytale

Ok so with recent thoughts about having to go back to uni next week, I thought it was best to share this poem (written 17/01/2010) which was the first poem written this year. It is of course remembering back to when I went to school which is funny now as I'm studying to be a teacher, so even though I'm ready to leave scool behind and move on in some ways it is as though I'm not. I could end up being in school forever..... (noooo)

The world has gone completely mad

So the world has gone completely mad - i wrote this poem titled 'Mute World' in 2008 when I felt pretty much the same. Over the last week things in the news have been seriously horrible hence the completely mad sentiments. But then again maybe it is always mad, and I haven't really known any different, who has though??

MUTE WORLD

Mute world gone Crazy
thoughts unwind the day
twist turning

Jolt
Freeze
Ice Breaker

thirst clenched
situation to a holt
journey underestimated
people have moments

tension released
spring back into time
crushed bug sitting rock
game played
colours swirled
smiles zing
energised mind

shining light
knotted hair
climb the rope
rush, run, swim, dance

on the moonlight
mysterious sounds, echo heard
mouse click
fish kiss like a ping

day gone, sip tea

about Dreams

Fall into a deep sleep
Turn around head shake
Float up into the air
Be as one
As though on cloud nine
Feel the enlightenment
Create the power within you
Thrust your body to the sky
Forward
March
Never stop
Shout for joy
Celebrate your life
See the sunshine inside you

The rainbow is ahead

Touch the moon
Hold it tight
Play on a swing never-ending
Bounce on a trampoline
Breathe in all the juices
Smell the flowers all so sweet
Lick a lolly, chew a straw
Count your fingers and your toes
Dance on water
Watch it splash
Sense the heat of the sun
Open mouth, chocolate drip
Let the ice-cream melt then taste
Coconut ice chill her lips
Bending
Weaving
Quickly now

Don’t
Look before you

Fall

I wrote this in 2006. I'm posting it because I've been having some really weird dreams latley, I think that it is because I'm going back to uni next week. When dreaming it is weird what can happen. You can in one place then another, all sorts of different colours, shapes and people can form in your dreams. The one thing that gets to me when I'm dreaming is when I'm in one room and then all of the sudden the room is transformed to another room or sometimes outdoors. In a way the space around me morphs and sometimes people too...

Hope and Trust

In your mind I tell the truth

In your heart I see you cry

I whisper through the pool of light

To guide you by my side

I have reached the chains that trap your laughter

I struggle through the lock

That surrounds

The arm around your

Love and care

All there is, is hope and trust

Within

The bleeding pain of life

This poem was written last year (2009). I guess it was at a time when I was thinking about how I'm supporting a friend. However it is about a few other things as well. I have written a couple of others with the same friend in mind and only because this person has unfortunately been 'touched' by something three times and it has created many feelings. At the end of the day they aren't totally about this person, it has just been that, that has been the trigger. Not only that but we find our own personal meaning within a poem, so they (the poems) are always open for different interpretations.
